My Story…
On August 21st, we will be running the Falmouth Road Race to raise money for Athletes Unlimited (AU)! We are very excited to be back to running as a duo for the sixth time after last year when Evie was out with a torn ACL/meniscus, leaving Maggie to brave the long, hot 7-mile course alone.
As many of you know, Athletes Unlimited (AU) has played an integral role in our older brother Brian's life for decades. AU offers a variety of high-quality, accessible recreational programs to individuals of all ages with disabilities. When COVID hit in 2020, AU immediately implemented virtual programming that ranged form zumba to trivia and everything in between. These programs provided much needed routine, stability, connection and joy to Brian and many others during such a difficult time.
As normal programming has started to resume over the last sixth months or so, Brian has found the connections he had forged with fellow athletes, volunteers and staff stronger than ever. In addition to providing Brian with lifelong friendships, AU's programs help to foster the ongoing physical, social, emotional and intellectual development of Brian and countless other individuals with disabilities.
Your donation will go directly towards helping ensure that these programs continue to flourish and that they are accessible to all. Thank you for your support!
