My Story…
I'm an outpatient physical therapist at Mass General Hospital with specialties in orthopedics, pelvic health and oncology/lymphedema care. In all of these rolls I work with patients who have been through or are going through a variety of oncology treatments, many of which contribute to my patients developing lymphedema. Lymphedema is a swelling condition, caused by cancer treatments such as lymph node removal, radiation and chemotherapy. My patients often need to manage lymphedema in their arm, legs and/or trunk and pelvis for the rest of their lives to have good quality of life. The more resources researchers have to learn about the causes and effects of lymphedema the better quality of life my patients can have. Help people battling and recovering from cancer live their very best life by supporting the Mass General Breast Cancer Research Falmouth Road Race Team. My kids have an intensive training program planned for me - they want me to win it all :)
