My Story…
On January 26th 2021, AJ Quetta suffered a severe spinal cord injury during a Bishop Feehan high school hockey game. As a former Feehan hockey player and brother to one of AJ’s teammates and best friends, I have been fortunate enough to know AJ. While thousands have come together to support AJ and his recovery, the battle wages on. In the face of such adversity, AJ’s unending positivity and determination has his sights set on nothing less than the ability to walk again on his own.
Journey Forward, the rehab facility in Canton, MA where AJ regularly attends, is a nonprofit organization dedicated to bettering the lives of those with spinal cord injuries or disability. Through their aggressive and advanced practices, Journey Forward has successfully aided in the physical functionality and recovery of many individuals like AJ.
This past April, I ran the Boston Marathon as a member of the Journey Forward team with AJ Quetta as my special motivation. AJ, along with so many others who have suffered from similar injuries, have hope for a complete recovery through this organization. After smashing our marathon fundraising goal of $10,000 in April, I was moved to continue to support Journey Forward and AJ's recovery. Therefore, when asked to join Journey Forward's team for yet another race this year, the decision was a no brainer.
I am once again humbly looking to my friends and family for support so that Journey Forward’s work may continue for years to come. AJ is my motivation, and he may be yours too. However, this cause and effort goes far beyond me and even AJ. Please consider being a part of this team and donate.
