Please consider supporting MitoAction, a non-profit organization founded by patients, parents, and healthcare leaders based out of New England who were all directly impacted by mitochondrial disease.
Mitochondrial disease is a progressive chronic illness that occurs when there is a malfunction in the cell’s mitochondria. Mitochondria are the structure in cells that is in charge of producing the energy our body needs to carry out basic daily needs. It can affect cells in any part of the body, like muscles or nerves. Because of this, the symptoms can vary. It is a debilitating disorder and currently there is no cure.
With your support, MitoAction can continue to improve the lives of those affected by community outreach, education, and clinical trials.
