Help Alma raise money

Dear family & friends

As you all know of my love for running (injury and all) nothing can stop me from running to support the Italian Home for Children, a charity that has been near and dear to our family for generations. Starting with my father being one of the youngest board members (!) to my grandfather AJ's many contributions, and now my older brother James being a junior board member, it is my turn to contribute to this amazing mission. 

On August 21st, I plan to run the Falmouth Road Race to help raise money to support the Italian Home for Children. I have been training for this race all summer and cannot succeed alone, I need your help to reach my fundraising goal of $1,000! I am counting on the support of my family and friends to not only finish the race but also to help such an incredible community and cause.

The Italian Home for Children is a youth service organization that provides an integrated network of powerful and effective programs to help children and families with emotional, behavioral, and educational challenges thrive in their communities. The Italian Home for Children was established in 1918 to help care for the many orphaned children of Boston’s North End community which was devastated by the influenza epidemic. For the first fifty years, the Franciscan sisters devoted their lives to raising and teaching thousands of children at the Home and over the years, the needs of the children at the Home began to reflect more complex crises. Today, the Home’s focus is providing residential and day treatment services for children of all nationalities with emotional and behavioral needs.
