My Story…
Duchenne muscular dystrophy (DMD) is the most common fatal pediatric disorder. Duchenne is a progressive neuromuscular disorder that causes a loss of motor, pulmonary, and cardiac function, and ultimately, premature death. It affects approximately 1 in every 3,500 male births. There are approximately 15,000 individuals diagnosed with Duchenne alive today in the United States.
I am running for my son Walker who was diagnosed with DMD shortly after his first birthday.
Description
Thank you for supporting me in the 50th Falmouth Road Race, where I will be raising funds for Jett Foundation.
Jett Foundation extends and enriches the lives of individuals affected by Duchenne muscular dystrophy and other neuromuscular disorders.
They fulfill this mission by partnering with individuals and families through empowering educational programming, transformational direct service experiences, and by accelerating development of life-changing treatments.
Go! for Duchenne events, such as the Falmouth Road Race, encourage families and friends to activate their muscles in support of Jett Foundation and the work we do to provide enriching programs for individuals and families impacted by neuromuscular disorders.
Help me reach my goal of $1,000 by race day--Sunday, August 21 2022!
