Help Camilla raise money

For participating in The 2022 ASICS Falmouth Road Race

OUR FINISH LINE SAYS ALS DONE!

Dear family and friends,

This is our 4th year fundraising for ALS One.  Alden, Tucker and I have raised over $25,000 so far and hope to bring that number to $30,000 this year with your help. This year marks the 5th year since we lost Scott.

Scott started experiencing trouble speaking in the summer of 2016. After multiple doctor visits throughout the year, Scott was diagnosed in December with ALS. The news was devastating to us but Scott never gave up looking for different treatment options. His passion for research in his day job allowed him to discover various types of clinical trials.  Unfortunately despite his thorough research, his health deteriorated quickly and he was unable to participate in any of them. Even though he kept it to himself, time was not on our side.

Scott’s favorite moments in the summer of 2017 were sitting in his wheelchair watching all of the construction on our street, talking to our neighbors, riding his wheelchair with Tucker on his lap or enjoying a coffee Oreo ice cream from Bedford Farms with Alden. It was incredibly difficult for all of us those months and on September 14, 2017 Scott lost his battle to ALS.

While they continue to make advancements in the fight for a cure for ALS, we still have a long way to go. ALS One’s mission of collaboration and fundraising for research through ALS TDI, UMass Medical Center, MGH (The Healy Center)and care thru Compassionate Care(CCALS) is why we raise money for their cause. CCALS provided much needed equipment to our family and even allowed us to borrow a van temporarily so that Scott could see Nantucket once last time.

Please help us reach our goal! Thank you!
