Wings For Falmouth Families is near and dear to my heart! In 2017, I fell and broke my leg and tore my ACL. As a single mom and Family Child Care business owner it was a devastating accident. Wings swooped down and saved me from complete helplessness. I was unable to walk for almost 6 months with no income and multiple Dr. visits and 2 surgeries and countless rehab appointments. All with a 1yr old to take care of alone. Wings helped us keep a roof over our head, helped us stay warm, and even helped give my son a good Christmas that year. Once I recovered, I decided to join the Board and run the Road race in 2019. I have been on the Board since and am excited to run again hoping for a slightly better time since my leg was still broken when I ran the last time. I am completely indebted to Wings and will continue to raise awareness about this amazing program forever!
