My Story…
My mother died of Metastatic Triple Negative Breast Cancer 4 year ago. My mother was an amazing woman, my best friend, biggest supporter, and had a love for all exercise especially running. I was 3 months pregnant with my first child when we knew we were saying our goodbyes. Having friends, co-workers, and a community that supported my family so deeply means everything to me.
I understand that not every family and/or breast cancer patient has the support system my family and I were so lucky to lean on.
As a mother, teacher, and friend I am always looking to give back to others. I'm choosing to run the Falmouth Road Race in honor of my mother and to support the Ellie Fund so every woman and their family can have the sense of community like my family did when going through the toughest time of their lives.
