I am lucky enough to have the opportunity to run in the 50th Annual Falmouth Road Race on August 21st, 2022! This will be my first run of this historic race, and I have committed to running about seven miles to raise funds for an awesome, local non-profit. If you know me at all, you know that I'm not the runner I once was (was I ever good at it?). But to get a chance to fundraise for Moving Forward Inc, I'll be training all summer and lacing up my big, flat feet for a good cause!

Moving Forward Inc is a nonprofit organization making a difference in lives of very bright individuals needing social integration support. Servicing individuals with autism spectrum disorder, intellectual disabilities and anxiety issues, this is a special place where members are surrounded by peers and treated with respect while working hard to meet goals. During the height of COVID, Moving Forward Inc purchased a building in West Barnstable (MA), miraculously finished renovations, and moved in early Spring 2021. Last year's Falmouth Road Race team was able to raise funds to help defray some of the cost associated with this endeavor.  

This year, the Moving Forward race team is working on raising funds to replace all 22 windows in the building, which are in desperate need of repair. I've had the pleasure of planning projects and serving with the Moving Forward team this year, helping mitigate the cost of shrub and hazardous tree removal. There is NO non-profit I'd rather be supporting with this effort!
