My Story…
This August 21st I will be running my second Falmouth Road Race and am thrilled to be doing it for an incredible organization. The Heart Warrior Foundation is a nonprofit that has set out to help children affected by Congenital Heart Defects (CHD) and their families. Your donation will benefit the Heart Center at Boston Children’s Hospital (BCH)—funding advancements in research to improve the health and quality of life outcomes of CHD’s, supporting the heart warrior families to make inpatient hospital stays less stressful, and supporting continuing education for the invaluable nurses at their side. The foundation also has a “Healing with Happiness” program to give families of heart warriors a chance to have a joyful outing away from the hospital, whether it’s tickets to Legoland or a Sox game, or even helping add a furry friend to the family. In my role as a Clinical Specialist at Biosense Webster, J&J, I have seen the resilience of CHD patients and they deserve all this support and more.
