My Story…
I couldn't think of a better way to add some meaning and motivation to my 2nd Falmouth Road Race than running for this incredible organization. The Heart Warrior Foundation is working to make life a little easier for children living with congenital heart defects. Your donation benefits the Heart Center at Boston Children's Hospital (BCH) in a variety of ways - donating funds and supplies, providing meals for inpatient families spending weeks and months in the hospital, and supporting the incredible nursing staff at BCH. They also have an amazing "Healing with Happiness" program that allows families to have a carefree experience of their choice amidst the craziness of medical treatment - whether that be tickets to the zoo or a Sox game, or (my personal favorite) adding a puppy to the family. My time working at Boston Children's Hospital allowed me to experience the impact of this hospital and the bravery of these kids firsthand, and they truly deserve the world.
