My Story…
I will officially be running the 7-mile Falmouth Road Race on August 21! It is not only my first race running with a charity team, but will also be my longest race yet! The charity I will be running for is Mental Health Collaborative, an organization committed to ending the stigma against mental illness and to building mental health literacy in schools, communities, and corporations.
Choosing this charity was no accident. I am running this race in memory of my sister, Franki. Beyond an incredible softball, soccer, and basketball player, Franki could run. She could run fast and far…it just came so easily. Me? Not so much. I do not, and probably will never, consider myself a “runner,” but boy am I throwing myself into this whole running thing. 5K & 5 miles done. 7 more for you, Frank. I hope you’re running up there.
If you can, please help support my fundraising for this incredibly important cause. Help me work towards breaking the stigma. And if someone hasn’t told you yet, it is okay to not be okay💚
