My Story…
Hi everyone, welcome to my fundraising page for Team Challenge ALS!
I chose to fundraise and run with The ALS Association: Massachusetts Chapter, at the Falmouth Road Race this year, because ALS has newly hit close to home in my family. My father was diagnosed with ALS earlier this year, and it was mind-blowing news that our family did not expect to receive. Dad and I ran the 2018 Falmouth Road Race together, and he has also run this race many times before in the past! I choose to run this race and fundraise for him, and for all other families and people living with ALS.
ALS (amyotrophic lateral sclerosis), also known as Lou Gehrig’s disease, currently does not have a cure and causes are unknown. With my fundraising efforts, I am hoping to aid The ALS Association: Massachusetts Chapter in further providing services to ALS families, as well as to help get one step closer to a cure. I only hope to improve and expand on any and all services made available to families with ALS.
Any amount helps the cause, and the ALS community! I sincerely appreciate your generosity to this cause, and I hope you will cheer me on at the 2022 Falmouth Road Race!
Thank you,
Lucy
