My Story…
I am so joyful to be able to run this year's Falmouth Road Race once again for EmpowerHER (5th time for this great cause!!). Please support me on this year's run!
This year, there is some very exciting news to share about EmpowerHER!
While this is the 50th running of the Falmouth Road Race and my 25(ish) time running the race, I am most excited to share some great news about EmpowerHER.
EmpowerHER was started by Sarah’s friend, Cara, and has helped many girls and young women who have lost their mother young.
Recently, EmpowerHER announced that is would be expanding its programs to support boys, girls, and non-binary youth who have lost a mother or father, becoming a much more inclusive and potentially impactful organization!
Please help me once again in supporting this great cause.
Thank you in advance for your generosity!
Description
empowerHER® was formed in 2013 with a very specific mission—to empower, support and connect girls and young women up to age 24 who have experienced the loss of their mothers. empowerHER® is a supportive and inclusive community that offers year-round EVENTS for GIRLS that provides peer support and reminds girls they are not alone in their grief. Our MENTOR PROGRAM matches girls and young women with positive role models from the community to show “loss is survivable.”
