My Story…
As many of you know my good friend Ernie B. was diagnosed with ALS in 2019. He previously traveled with us each year to see the Red Sox and Patriots across the country, but now is unfortunately in a wheelchair unable to walk, stand, and lift his arms. As you can imagine, this is extremely challenging for Ernie, but he is truly amazing and never complains about anything! He also still has his great wit and sense of humor.
CCALS has been alongside Erine supporting him with tools and equipment such as special software, wheelchairs, lifts and guidance to help him with everyday activities.
On Sunday August 21, CCALS will be hosting their annual 7-mile road race fundraiser on Cape Cod. This event raises money so that CCALS can continue to support those diagnosed with ALS. I have joined Team Ernie B and will be running in this race to help raise money in support of this great organization.

CCALS offers an innovative and holistic range of services tailored to meet the needs of individuals with ALS and their families. The services we offer are typically not covered by insurance. CCALS works with families in New England, across the United States, and internationally. The organization provides resources including equipment, educational workshops, Medicare/Medicaid assistance, guidance and awareness in living with ALS, caregiving, and end-of-life issues.
