Help Charles raise money

For participating in The 2022 ASICS Falmouth Road Race

My Story…

Hello,

My name is Charlie and thank you for taking the time to visit my Falmouth Road Race 2022 fundraising page. #TeamGenFound represents The Genesis Foundation for Children.

I was inspired to run and raise money for The Genesis Foundation because of  my aunt, Dr. Catherine Bearce Nowak, who is a board member and the clinical director for The Feingold Center for Children at Boston Children’s Hospital.

My entire family supports The Genesis Foundation—my grandfather was the oldest (virtual) runner last year, my cousins have run in the past and my father and his childhood friends support in different ways. It’s now my turn and I need your support!

WHO YOU’RE HELPING

The Genesis Foundation for Children has been funding therapy programs and treatment services for local children with rare diseases and genetic disorders for 40 years.

Here are two brief stories from real patients that have directly benefited from the work the Foundation does, all with the help of generous donors like you.

Joey Cincotta

Joey has a very rare gene mutation that was diagnosed with the help of Dr. Catherine Nowak and her genetics team at The Feingold Center for Children when he was one year old. Growing up, Joey’s parents have faced many challenges accessing the appropriate equipment that enable him to thrive, and thanks to funds from The Genesis Foundation for Children, Joey was able to receive a special bike that allows him to ride independently- a rite of passage for any kid.

Jordynn Santana

When mom Amy was pregnant with Jordynn, she was told by her doctors that her daughter would never walk or talk. Immediately after she was born, Amy went to see Dr. Catherine Nowak who she saw as a teenager for her own medical issues. It was then that Amy discovered her and Jordynn are a rare mother-daughter duo with Greig Cephalopolysyndactyly Syndrome, a rare genetic disorder that affects the development of limbs, head and face. Thanks to her coordinated care and therapy programs funded by The Genesis Foundation for Children, Jordynn is thriving, and according to her mom, “doesn’t stop talking”.

I am grateful for every dollar you decide to donate. Your support and participation can help one or many kids reach their full potential.

With gratitude,

Charlie
