My Story…
Soccer Without Borders (SWB) is a huge part of my life. It's not only my job, but my passion, my joy, and community. We work hard to offer community and belonging to our families. Ultimately, SWB has helped me establish my own community & belonging in Boston!
I am thrilled to be running Falmouth for SWB for my 4th year in a row! It has become an annual tradition since I moved to Boston in 2018 - even running the virtual edition in 2020 - and I am so thankful for the continued support I’ve received year after year!
A highlight from this year was the huge success of our girls program. In the winter, we offered the first of it's kind indoor girls futsal league where we reached over 80 girls from all around Boston. This momentum carried us into our spring season where we averaged around 40 middle school and high school girls per practice. 11th grade participant and team leader Brandy said, “It [the girl's team] makes me feel empowered… usually there are not a lot of girl sports out there, especially in East Boston… and everywhere in general, so I would say it makes me feel good that we actually have a space to play soccer.”
