This year, I am running the Falmouth Road Race in support of Soccer Without Borders, Boston. 

I've had the amazing opportunity to be on the Board of Directors of Soccer Without Borders since 2015. During my time on the Board, the ability to watch the organization grow and see its impacts to our mission has truly been an experience I feel honored and thankful to be a part of.

As an athlete growing up, the community and belonging you feel on a team can create a lasting experience in your life, at a time you might need it most. SWB captures this and provides a sense of belonging at an important time that is critical.

Soccer Without Borders mission is to use soccer as a vehicle for positive change, providing under-served youth with a toolkit to overcome obstacles to growth, inclusion, and personal success.

SWB is particularly focused on supporting newcomer refugee, immigrant, asylee youth, and girls. More than 70% of SWB participants are refugees or asylees, having fled some of the most violent conflicts in the world.
