Thank you for considering a donation to Next Step. This wonderful organization empowers young people living with serious illness to create a bright future.
The connections for the seriously ill are made through the Next Step Community. Meeting others on the same journey helps them discover the power of friendship, fun and support.
Music as medicine helps everyday at Next Step. The young people can write, perform, record or listen to original music with the Next Step music therapist.
Through the Next Step Mentorship program young people living with serious illness can plan for their future whether it be school, work or life in general. Mentors help make the plan personal and guide to success.

Description
Next Step empowers teens and young adults living with with life-threatening diseases to successfully transition from childhood to adulthood and into an adult healthcare system, creating their brightest future. This is done by providing extensive support and teaching essential life skills to help our participants to effectively manage their illness, maintain optimum emotional health, and succeed in their professional career. To accomplish these goals, the Next Step programs address the physical, emotional and developmental issues unique to these young adults through our community, music, and mentorship program and moving our young people closer to, "I believe in me."
