Raise money for United Against Poverty

United Against Poverty in St. Lucie County offers many programs to benefit the community.

The Member Share Grocery Program allows eligible members (earn <200% of poverty level) to access healthy and nutritious food through a small handling fee, saving around 65-70% of budgeted funds! Food is purchased by United Against Poverty with some donations from corporate supporters. Families have saved millions in food costs since the Center opened.

Members are afforded the dignity to select food and health products wanted/needed for their families in a setting that is similar to a traditional grocery store. An annual membership card allows members to access all services.

A Department of Children and Family office for Medicaid, SNAP, and Temporary Cash Assistance Applications and status checks is housed in the facility.

Volunteer training opportunities program for entry level experience in customer service, inventory control, merchandising, non-profit outreach, resource development and more.

Community Service volunteer site.

Success Training for Employment Program (STEP) helps members develop necessary skills for achieving and sustaining success in the workplace.

Emotional Intelligence Training provides participants with empowering skills they need to better manage their personal and professional relationships.

Crisis Stabilization Program helps families who have hit rock bottom from slipping further into poverty.
