Help John raise money

For participating in RUCK4HITCapeCod 2022

My Story…

Hi everyone!

Thank you for visiting our Rockland Trust Ruckers Fundraising page! As you know, Rockland Trust is known for giving back to the community. We are honored to participate this year's event as a team through Rockland Trust! This is #WhyWeRuck:

About Heroes In Transition: On April 29-30, 2022, we will be rucking the streets of the Cape to raise awareness and funds for Heroes In Transition--a 501-c 3 not-for profit organization that services veterans/active service members and military families. HIT provides appropriate assistance in 4 key areas:

-Transitional Support Groups, including equine therapy and couples retreats

-Financial support for service families

-Assistance dogs for veterans

-Home modifications

Our mission is to provide assistance that is not readily available from other organizations including local, state, and federal agencies. Your generosity will help support our heroes.

About Ruck4HIT: Heroes In Transition is proud to announce its seventh, team-based endurance ruck relay event: Ruck4HITCapeCod. A field of up to 15 teams will run 200+ miles through all 15 towns on the Cape from the early morning hours of Friday April 29, 2022 to Saturday afternoon April 30, 2022. The route begins in Bourne, MA and continues to the tip of the Cape in Provincetown. From here, athletes will head back towards the finish line after running through every town on the Cape and finish the relay in Mashpee, MA. Each athlete will run 2-4 miles at a time with a 10-20 pound ruck sack on his/her back as the teams complete the route in relay format, running non-stop until the mission is complete.

Mission Statement: Ruck4HIT was created in collaboration with supporters, local veterans and those currently serving to raise awareness and funds for Heroes In Transition, Inc. and their various veteran and military family programs. As every service member is forced to carry the burden of war during active service and beyond, carrying the ruck sack is symbolic of hardships endured and the perseverance required to complete the mission-all in the continuing effort to never leave a fallen comrade behind.

Your Support Matters: The funds raised through this event will allow HIT to continue its mission of supporting our heroes. Heroes In Transition is not federally funded and all of their programs possible through fundraisers, donations and grants. No donation amount is too small! We appreciate your support in helping us to reach our goal!
