For participating in Miles for Migraine - San Francisco 2022

My Story…

I began my journey at a very young age as I witnessed my mother endure countless debilitating migraines with little reprieve. It wasn't until puberty came knocking on my door that I had my first migraine. As my hormones changed so did my migraines, by my junior year of high school I had to rearrange my class schedule to accommodate for the amount of classes I was missing because of migraines. Despite, all the documented trips to the ER (sumatriptan by injection only had become available but not prescribed), consistent visits with my neurologist and pcp and strong support from my family, I was still afflicted by the stigma that what I was experiencing wasnt real. I had to work even harder to prove myself to my teachers & later my employers. Today, Im asking for your help to eliminate the migraine stigma by understanding this disabling disease through increased knowledge & awareness and continuous scientific research. Please donate to our team as we walk miles 4 migraine! Go team SM!
