My Story…
Each year gets a little easier yet at the same time a little harder. This year Alice would have been 4 yrs old only 14 days before this annual Remembrance Walk. It is easy to think of what would have been, but sometimes takes more work to see what is happening now. My family has changed because of her. My rainbow baby might not have been in our life. My oldest may not have been as great of a big brother as he is. What is happening now is that I DO have my rainbow and I DO have a son who is an amazing big brother. These are things I am grateful for her gift.
Near 4 years ago our world spiraled out of control in a matter of minutes. Our 38wk little girl had no heart beat. Figuring out the next steps were a blur. I remember those powerful words the Chaplin said 'Its better to have these pictures and not look at them; than want them and not be able to see them.' As months and years pass, we will never know the real reason(s) she passed away. It is my (our) duty as her family to make sure she is never forgotten, and will always have a place with me everyday of my life.
These pictures are my treasures. They are worth all of the jewels and gold in the world, just so i can see her when I need to.
Thank you NILMDTS for making me rich.
