MEET YOUR TEAM CAPTAIN - Ivey McCloud

I began my running journey in 2011 when a close friend introduced me to Black Girls Run! Black Girls Run! is an organization dedicated to encouraging Black women to practice a healthy lifestyle. They serve as a fitness resource for runners by providing tips on staying active and maintaining a healthy lifestyle.  Since joining Black Girls Run!, I have found a community of like-minded women who motivate and support my running journey. I've completed several 5K and 10K races within the metro Atlanta area with the support of my fellow BGR! sisters.

By participating in the annual Dashing Through the Square race, I get to raise money for The PEARL Foundation by doing something I love. The PEARL Foundation is a 501c3 organization that has been actively providing effective and meaningful programming for over 12 years in the Cobb County community. Your support will help The PEARL Foundation continue to provide essential programs and scholarships to local Cobb County students who are pursuing higher education.
