Atlanta Pride Run and Walk

The Atlanta Pride Run is an inclusive 5K walk and run dedicated to bringing the community together to have fun, be active, and support a wonderful and diverse community during pride month. This event is for every one of every ability. For most, it’s the enjoyment of taking part surrounded by like-minded and supportive people in the community.

The Atlanta Pride Run is excited to return and offer both in-person and virtual options scheduled on June 5, 2022! For over 30 years the objective of the Atlanta Pride Run has been to generate awareness for the LGBTQ+ community in the greater Atlanta area, and to fundraise for community partners. We strive to be a positive impact for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Trans (LGBTQ+) communities, and their allies, through a mutual love of running and walking. We invite you to join us this year and remember, we are stronger together.

Runners and walkers are welcome to bring their little companions to participate. However, for everyone's safety, anyone participating with strollers or their pet, please avoid starting in the front to prevent moving hazard, and all pets must be on a leash.

BENEFICIARY

In the past, Atlanta Pride Run had the opportunity to sponsor the following Atlanta nonprofit organizations: AID Atlanta, Jerusalem House, Joining Hearts, Lost & Found Youth, Out of The Closet, Positive Impact, and Track Georgia. Atlanta Pride Run looks forward to hosting this event to provide financial aid to organizations supporting the mission and generating awareness around HIV/AIDS, and issues affecting the LGBTQ+ community.

*Please note that in-person online registration will close on June 1, however you can still continue to register for the Virtual Atlanta Pride Run online.

*For any in-person registrations after June 1, you will have to register live during Packet Pick-Up beginning on June 3 from 2pm- 6:30pm & June 4 from 9am-Noon at Big Peach Running Co. Midtown or on June 5 Race Day beginning at 7am in Piedmont Park.

*Any racers virtually participating, please note you will not have to attend packet pick-up, all of your race items will be mailed to the address you entered upon registration.

PACKET PICKUP OPTIONS

Early Packet Pickup: Save time & get some extra sleep race morning by coming out to early packet pickup.

Race Morning: Check-in will open promptly at 7:00 AM so arrive sooner than later to get your race packets. Race will start promptly at 8:30 AM.

Team Fundraising: We are all stronger together, so grab your friends and family and register as a team! The top fundraising team will receive a prize, as well as bragging rights!

VIRTUAL RUNNING - HOW IT WORKS AND TIME SUBMISSION

Can't make it out to the event site on race day? Still want to participate or support the cause and have a shot at an award? or maybe you saw the shirt and said: "Sweet...I want one!" Then the virtual race is for you. Run when & where you want, just submit your time by the end of Race Day. We'll ship out virtual packages the Monday after the event date! *Shipping available for continental US only.

New to Virtual Running? Here's how it works:

Step 1- Get excited, grab some friends and buddies to join you! Sign up and register for the Atlanta Pride Run Virtual 5K!

Step 2- Download your Custom Digital Bib! Hydrate, grab your buddy (or not) and get ready to get moving!

Step 3- Get out there and run or walk! You can run at the park, your favorite route in your neighborhood; anywhere you want.

Step 4- HAVE FUN! Share your distance, a selfie, or a picture along your race route and use the hashtag #AtlantaPrideRun #StrongerTogether

Step 5- Submit your results directly on https://raceroster.com/

You can submit your race time HERE on the Virtual Results page anytime anytime from May 15- June 5.

Step 6- View your Virtual Results HERE Monday after the Event Date.

PARKING & TRANSIT

Paid parking is available at the Botanical Gardens/Piedmont Park deck. Street parking is also available in the surrounding neighborhoods; please be considerate! The start/finish line is located across from the Greystone. Be sure to bring water and wear your favorite Pride gear!

Public transit and ride sharing is strongly encouraged. Piedmont Park is approximately 1.2 miles from the Arts Center or Midtown MARTA rail stations on the Red/Gold lines.
