WHY WE RUN

This 5k race is to help support the Charlotte’s Finest Legacy Foundation, an organization set up to honor those officers who were killed in the line of duty. The Charlotte’s Finest Legacy Foundation was established to organize and raise money for a scholarship, in memory of Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Officers Sean Clark and Jeff Shelton who were killed in the line of duty April 1st, 2007. The scholarship is to help those high school seniors who are wishing to pursue a career in law enforcement.
