My Story…
Hearth Place Cancer Support Centre has been a cause near and dear to our hearts for many years. I started out volunteering there working with kids affected by cancer. Mike, our kids volunteered their time to build the new addition and the Woodland Homes team of sub contractors also donated time and supplies. During that build I went from volunteer to client when I was diagnosed with breast cancer in June 2019. I just went back volunteering last week leading one art session with their first in person group Cancer during Covid. An amazing group of women and powerful art expressing their experiences. This truly is a unique and invaluable resource for so many clients dealing with cancer and their families. Please give what you can!
