My Story…
Happy Mental Health Awareness Month. I know a lot of great mental health organizations are asking for donations this month. I usually just ask for someone to take me to lunch during this salute to mental wellness, but this year I’m asking for cold hard cash. I’m asking for you to sponsor me in The Copeland Center’s 5K Your Way fund raiser. The Copeland Center has kept me gainfully employed all the while supporting literally thousands of people learning how to manage their mental health challenges….while keeping me gainfully employed as I manage my mental health challenges. We’re all about people learning to take control of their lives. The way this works is you sponsor me, and I commit to doing 5K My Way (the Paul Anka version not Sinatra’s). Now you know I’m not running 5k and apparently driving 5K is against the “spirit” of things. We can do anything we choose as long as it’s 5 of something. I’m going to commit to make 50 contacts (calls, letters, showing up) to promote a current cause that needs activism. Get it? I help my organization by helping the world. Got to love the cycle of life. So if you could donate something I’m fairly sure an angel will get their wings.
Donate to help Rachelle raise money for 5K Your Way for Mental Health Awareness Month’s fundraising campaign.
