Help Joy raise money

For participating in 2022 VON Activity Challenge

My Story…

As all of you know I am a retired nurse who is passionate about the volunteer work that I do for the Victorian Order of Nurses Middlesex Elgin (VON ME) Community Corporation. VON ME does so much to help those at home to remain healthy and independent. In fact this year we used their services and an Occupational Therapist came to our house. I was so proud of how respectful the therapist was and how much help he gave us to make decisions about our home etc.

As Stuart and I have reached our senior years I know how important this respectful support is.

Last year each of you donated so generously to my personal fundraising page. Thank you! I was able to almost achieve my goal of $4000 so this year I have kept my goal at $4000 and hope to surpass it! The funds go to help support the very important work that is done to subsidize and provide Home care and Community Support programs and services locally.

There are brighter days ahead but we are still in the pandemic so the need is greater as we are just getting back to our signature events in person. Stuart and I will be walking most days as weather permits and will be attending the actual walk day on June 26th as Road Marshalls.

VON is also raising funds for a much needed Digital Health Transformation Project called VON CONNECT. These last two years of the pandemic have made it very clear to us that we need to fundraise so that patients, families and staff can keep in touch with how care is provided to our loved ones.

Thank you so much for continuing to support my efforts to raise funds for VON.
