Inwater Research Group

Inwater Research Group (IRG) is a Florida-based non-profit organization dedicated to the conservation of sea turtles.  At IRG, our mission is to foster coastal and marine conservation through integrated research and education. Our organization conducts trail-blazing in-water research on all 5 species of sea turtles commonly found in the southeastern United States.  We take this research and develop free hands-on educational programs for Florida students so they can understand the science behind sea turtle research as well as what they can do as citizens to help protect these imperiled species. Our free programs reach over 30,000 students state-wide each year.
