Help Shaina raise money

I came across this run on facebook and thought what a great reason to get back into running; to help raise money for an organization I deeply care about.

Your home is the one place you should feel the most safe and comfortable at but unfortunately for far to many home is hell on earth. Imagine having only a short window of time to escape your own home to save your life and children's lives (if you have them) with possibly only the clothes you're wearing and nothing else. This is the reality of so many victims of domestic violence, who have to escape their abuser. Raising money for these victims will help get them back on their feet while living a life without abuse. 

Not only am I running for them I'm running in honor of the 2 most important woman in my life, my mom and nana, both survivors of domestic abuse. These 2 strong beautiful ladies are the greatest rolemodels I could have. They have taught me more than I could put into words and mean the world to me. I am only on this earth because they both eventually FOUND THE STRENGTH TO STAND UP AND GET OUT OF THEIR HELL and start over. I promised them and myself many years ago that domestic violence will not continue on a 3rd generation, IT STOPS WITH ME! INSTEAD, I WILL FIGHT FOR THOSE WHO NEED PROTECTION! 

My goal is to raise $300 (hopefully more) since I just signed up and have less than 30 days until the run. Anything you can give is more than appreciated. Not everyone can donate right now and i completely understand so if you could share this on your social media and tell your family and friends i would greatly appreciate you.
