My Story…
Maintaining your mental and physical health is important, which is why I am participating in the 5K Your Way this year - to support not only my physical and mental health but also to help support our local children and youth as well! All of the funds raised by myself and others participating in the 5K Your Way challenge will go directly to supporting the Children's Foundation's Free to Grow Program which nurtures the physical, social, emotional and mental well-being of children and youth. Help us support the physical and mental health of local children and youth! Encouraging children to try new experiences and develop their talents, interests, and passions helps to enhance their personal growth and development by learning valuable life and social skills, developing friendships, and engaging in their community.
About Free to Grow
The Free to Grow Program at the Children's Foundation nurtures the physical, social, emotional, and mental well-being of children and youth by funding recreational and life-skill opportunities such as sports, arts, camps, driver's education training and leadership development as well as providing funding for mental health counseling, referred to us from CMHA.
Supporting 5K Your Way ensures that children can continue in activities they love even when times are tough for their family.
