My Story…
I started running to help with weight loss. I was in terrible shape when I started. At first I could only jog from one telephone pole to the next and I would be gassed. So I would walk two poles and try again. I kept doing this until I could cover a mile. Then I started jogging two poles, three etc. It took a while but eventually I could jog a slow mile and I just slowly added distance over time. It didn’t really help much with weight loss, but, it was great for my overall health and well-being so I kept at it.
A little less than a year ago, I started watching my diet and I think because I was already jogging 2 to 5 miles several days a week, my weight started to drop. Now I am down over 100 lbs and training with Kingwood Fit for the Houston Marathon in January. This Houston Half should be a good test. I wonder how many telephone poles it will be.
