My Story…
The teen mental health crisis is unfortunately getting worse. Here is a recent NYT Article showing the sobering statistics. Each and every day I get to connect with committed community members that are combating this crisis and making a difference.
They might give rides to programs, provide meals, facilitate a support group, shoot hoops, tutor, or mentor a teen. They are sharing their time to let teens know - that they have a hope and future.
Last month, I got to fill it at one of our sites for a retreat. It was such a joy to spend time with that group of young ladies for a few hours and see the impact TreeHouse is having on their lives and communities. I also got my hair braided!
