My Story…
Hi all, thanks for checking out my fundraising page for our 12th Annual SF Aloha Run. The in-person 5K or 10K run/walk is on Sunday, September 25th at Crissy Field in San Francisco, and the virtual side runs from Sunday, September 25th through Sunday, October 2nd.
Every year, we help fundraise for 2-3 organizations around the U.S. that are doing really meaningful work for social change. This year, we are supporting the Refugee & Immigrant Transitions, The Pōpolo Project, and our very own JCYC Scholarship Program. The theme is Aloha Run for Peace which is very fitting for times like these.
Refugee & Immigrant Transitions provides free education, family engagement, and community leadership for students seeking refuge from war, violence, persecution, or economic duress.
The Pōpolo Project is a Hawai‘i-based nonprofit organization that redefines what it means to be Black in Hawai‘i and in the world.
Within the JCYC Scholarship Program, we have three different scholarships that our students can apply for. The general scholarship, 529 Scholarship, and the Thomatra Scott Scholarship. All seek to support our students as they prepare for higher education.
I am starting my fifth year here at JCYC and I have witnessed the amazing, selfless work that my colleagues dedicate themselves to. JCYC is an organization that constantly strives to improve, learn, and do better. I hope you will consider donating or sharing this fundraiser.
Thank you so much for your support!
