My Story…
On Sunday, I ran a 5K with the beautiful Golden Gate Bridge as the backdrop. Our annual SF Aloha Run for Peace is raising funds for two organizations that work to promote peace and social justice.
RefTrans supports refugee and immigrant families get settled in the Bay Area through services such as classes, youth programs, case worker support, wellness workshops, and more. The Pōpolo Project helps the Black community in Hawai'i through cultivating deep reconnection to their community, ancestors, and the land with a focus on a just and inclusive future for Hawai'i.
Additionally, a portion of the funds will go towards the JCYC Scholarship programs to support under-resourced first gen youth in their pursuit of furthering their education. Many of my former program youth have benefitted from this scholarship fund!
If you are able to, please donate for these incredible and important causes!
Thank you,
Ayako
