NAMI Rockland welcomes you as a participant and/or donor to the 2022 NAMI Rockland 5K Run / Walk for Wellness. Due to the COVID Pandemic the need for Mental Health Support and Treatment has grown exponentially. There is an increase in depression, anxiety, substance use and suicide among children, adolescents and adults. It is estimated that in the United States one in three individuals either experience a mental health challenge or have a friend or family member who does.
Since March 2020, NAMI Rockland has offered all of our programs and services virtually. Our staff and volunteers have been working from home. In late April we began returning to the office in shifts to ensure everyone's safety.
NAMI Rockland is an affiliate of the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI), the largest grass roots organization dealing with mental illness in the United States. We work to improve the lives of individuals living with mental illness and their families through Advocacy, Support, and Education. We continually fight the stigma associated with mental illness through our community awareness activities. We know that recovery is possible and we know the important role that research plays in finding more effective and new treatments.
