The G. Magnotta Foundation supports the G. Magnotta Lyme Disease Research Lab at the University of Guelph. It is Canada's first dedicated translational Lyme Disease research lab, producing results that will lead to better testing, diagnosis and treatment to benefit all Canadians.
Misunderstood, controversial and underfunded, Lyme Disease is acquired by a bite from an infected tick. It is one of the top 10 most misdiagnosed diseases and it can mimic other serious conditions like MS, ALS and Alzheimer's. Ticks infected with the Lyme bacteria can be everywhere in your everyday life – in cities, parks, your backyard.
