My Story…
I am returning to the harbour swim after a two-year COVID absence. In 2018, I took the plunge and raised $615. The following year, I raised another $700 and improved my time significantly by taking the training a lot more seriously.
COVID then kept me out of the pool until fall 2021, but I've been piling up training laps steadily for months now in preparation for the 2022 harbour swim. I'm not convinced I'll blow past my 2019 swim time, but it would be nice to up the amount raised for The United Way.
Special 2022 bonus: It appears I have talked my daughter Kenzie into making the harbour crossing with me. This would be perfect except for the fact she is so much faster than me. I'm willing to take the humiliation in the name of a good cause. Her donation page can be found over here: https://bit.ly/KenzieSwim
