Help Melissa raise money

Please consider donating to my team "Champions for Chaz," to raise funds for research for the rare disease adrenoleukodystrophy. 100% of the funds raised from the 6th Annual Run for ALD will directly benefit the University of Minnesota's Leukodystrophy Center for ALD Research to support their research efforts for early identification, more effective therapy and treatment options, and hopefully one day a cure for this devastating disease.My son Chaz was diagnosed his senior year of high school. He is now a graduate from Michigan Technological University, with a major in biomedical engineering. The disease has affected his spinal column and has limited his ability to walk. In addition, he has adrenal insufficiency (Addison's Disease), which is a result of ALD, and takes daily steroids. This fundraiser directly benefits the ALD Research Fund at the University of Minnesota where Chaz goes for annual doctor appointments and tests.I can not walk even virtually this year (the run/walk is in Missouri on November 22) as I will be having hip surgery at the Mayo Clinic on November 15, and be just home from the trip and recovering. However, I will walk in spirit, and I thank all of you who donated and walked with me last year and all of you who may decide to donate this year. It means a lot!
