We strongly believe that clients and their families have the right to make informed decisions about their care, and we encourage them to become partners in both the planning and delivery of their care. Personal and cultural values are part of that, and we ensure that every Plan of Care we develop responds to the needs and concerns of our clients and their families.

We are a highly-trusted non-profit organization that works with our clients, employees, volunteers and partners to provide innovative clinical, personal and social support to people who want the comfort and peace of mind of living in their own homes and communities.

We offer more than 75 home care, personal support, and community services designed to help people of all ages to get healthy and stay healthy. Our team of more than 5,000 staff and 9,000 volunteers serves Canadians in more than 1,200 communities across our country.

Your funds raised locally stay and support locally. This helps us support your families, your friends, your colleagues, your neighbours, your communities that needs our services to help people to live their best lives possible, every day, regardless of their circumstances. Whether it provides subsidies for transportation assistance to medical appointments, nutrition support through meal programs as well as programs and services to keep them socially connected and healthy within their communities.

Additionally, VON fundraising provides equipment for our clinics and home care nursing as well as education and training to ensure our staff continue to provide the highest quality of care and support.
