Help us raise money

In March 2021, then 4 year old Jack Harper was diagnosed with B Cell ALL (a form of childhood Leukemia). Since then, Jack has come a long way. He has completed 19 months of chemotherapy. He still has another 19 months lined up. (Treatment for childhood leukemia is for a duration of 2 yrs and 4 months).
Jack visits his oncologist on a weekly basis. Countless blood test are done, making sure the various medications he is taking is having the desired effects on the cancer. It is also important that they constantly monitor his ANC levels (ANC is a reflection of the patient's immunologic status in response to chemotherapy), because if it drops below 500, Jack has to go into complete lockdown due to his weakened immune system.
Currently Jack is able to attend school and partake in some mild sports activities. He is as healthy as can be expected for a child living with cancer.
Over the past 19months, during these incredibly difficult times, Jack has been able to attend various activities and excursions that have been hosted by charitable organizations. One of these organizations is A KID AGAIN.  Organized excursions and activitiies provided by A KID AGAIN and MAKE A WISH provide a brief reprieve from all the worries and stressors of caring for sick children every day. It also helps keep hope and joy alive for these sick children.
On Dec 3rd, Carowinds is teaming up with A KID AGAIN and MAKE A WISH to host an ‘Adventure and Wishes Holiday 5k’. Walkers/runners have the choice of doing either a 5k or a 1Mile. With each registration for the walk/run, you will receive FREE entry to Carowinds Winterfest for the evening of 3 Dec, starting at 5pm.
All money raised through the registration will be divided equally between A KID AGAIN and MAKE A WISH.
So please join us for this 5k walk/run and come meet little Jack (We will be loading the little kids into wagons and walking the 5k or having them scooter it).
If you are unable to join us for the event, please consider donating through Jack's Pack. Every dollar counts and no amount is too small.
