My Story…
Cancer, a devastating diagnosis. Imagine dealing with the treatments and side effects of the treatments, battling every day and worrying about the future. Now imagine not having the money to pay for the basic necessities of life while you are in treatment. This is where you can help.
The physicians at Virginia Cancer Specialists started a non profit (the VCS Cancer Foundation) to support local cancer patients. Funds raised will be used to support the Rainy Day Gifts program, which provides financial assistance to Northern Virginia cancer patients to help pay their non-medical living expenses while they are in treatment. The funds raised will help pay their rent and utility bills, and provide them with gift cards for groceries and gas. We want cancer patients to worry less about the finances and focus on what's most important - their treatment and recovery.
