My Story…
I was diagnosed with multiple myeloma (an incurable but treatable blood cancer) in July 2020. I went through doctor appointments, testing, a bone marrow transplant, chemotherapy, radiation, and a cross country move all during a worldwide pandemic. Even though I am not cancer free, I do have many good days. I continue monthly doctor appointments and chemo every three months. While I don’t do many 5Ks or races, this is one I will participate in.
