On May 7th, I will be running the BMO Vancouver Marathon in support of the BC Cancer Foundation. I started running a couple of years ago and it soon dawned on me what an absolute privilege it is to be able to run. Running has given me so much over the past little while; and in the spirit of gratitude, humility, and giving back I have decided to dedicate my 2023 Vancouver Marathon run to fight against Cancer.
Along the way, I will be thinking of true resilient people, those who have lost the battle with cancer, those who are battling cancer, their families & allies, and everyday heroes: Care providers, researchers, doctors, philanthropists, and fundraisers … And particularly I will be thinking of my late dad who earlier this year, lost his life to cancer. I know that during the race, I will not be running alone ….
