My Story…
I am running the Philadelphia Half Marathon for the American Association for Cancer Research in honor of my son, Flynn. Flynn was diagnosed with synovial sarcoma, a rare and aggressive cancer, a few days after he graduated from high school. Flynn was a runner, a skier, and a fisherman and had a wonderful, generous spirit. We never gave up hope for Flynn, and pursued every option available for his treatment, but he lost his courageous battle with cancer in April 2021 at age 20. The mission of the AACR is critical and provides hope that other families will not have to experience such loss of a loved one. We need to approach the fight against cancer with urgency, as if our children's lives depend on it. Because they do. Please join me in supporting the AACR.
