My Story…
My Why:
I am raising money for American Association for Cancer Research to honor my late father, Barry Daub, who we lost in 2015 after his battle with sarcoma and my late mother-in-law, April Lombard, who we lost in 2020 after her battle with colon cancer.
Losing my father and watching my husband lose his mother were the two hardest things I have ever experienced. Running has been a way for me to clear my mind and celebrate life through the hardships of grief.
The Philadelphia Half-Marathon will be my first ever half, and during my training we will pass the 8th year without my father and the 3rd year without my mother-in-law. I am hoping to raise $500 to give back to AACR in hopes of future where no one has to lose their loved one to this disease.
If you feel so inclined, please donate to my goal.
Much love and many miles!
