My Story…
Many of you know I lost my father, Elmer, to pancreatic cancer in January 2017. Additionally many in my extended family have been touched by cancer, many have survived and some have not. So many people are impacted by this disease. I would like to raise $1000 to help keep research moving in the right direction. Many people are afforded a second and third chance, just because of research!
I started running at the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic. I've slowly been building distance and pace. While I completed my first marathon in April of 2023 at 4:53:00, I would like to complete this race in at least 4:30:00.
Having as many people as possible watching this space and donating will help keep me motivated and accountable to my own training. I'm just starting to kick up a notch (I have the blister to prove it!). There's only a few weeks left, LETS DO THIS!
