Dear friends, family, and supporters,

I am excited to announce my participation in the upcoming American Association for Cancer Research (AACR) Philadelphia Marathon, a cause very close to my heart. As I lace up my running shoes and take on this challenge, I am driven by a powerful purpose: to support other families who are bravely navigating the difficult journey of cancer. We all have someone in our lives that has been affected by this disease and I am no exception.

Cancer has touched my life in profound ways. I am running in honor of my incredible mother-in-law, Robin, a true survivor whose strength and resilience inspire me every day. Her battle against breast cancer was a testament to the power of hope, determination, and the medical advancements that result from diligent research. She will be celebrating 10 years cancer-free the same month I compete in the marathon.

As I race to the finish during the marathon, my thoughts will also be with my aunt, Diane, who recently ended her battle against cancer. She had spent the last two years pursuing countless avenues that would allow her to spend more time with us. Her courage and grace fuels my determination to raise funds that can make a difference in the lives of patients and their loved ones.

Furthermore, I am running in memory grandfather whose life was tragically cut short by cancer. His story reminds me of the urgency to support research that can lead to early detection, effective and affordable treatments, and ultimately, a world without cancer.
